Beekeeping Since 1981
Bob Binnie began his career as a commercial beekeeper in 1981 while living in Oregon. Following the migratory patterns of bees, he has since spent time beekeeping in nine different states, most recently settling in the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains.
In 2003, Bob was voted ‘Beekeeper of the Year’ by the Georgia State Beekeepers Association. He then served as the President of the GBA in 2008 and 2009, as well as previously being President of the Northeast Georgia Mountains Beekeepers Association and Macon County Beekeepers Club of North Carolina.
In 2018, Bob began his YouTube channel which has garnered over 63K subscribers allowing him to share his everyday tips and tricks in the beeyard. More recently, you can find Bob speaking at beekeeping clubs and schools around the United States passing the torch to the next generation of beekeepers or in his shop having regular conversations with interested beekeepers and curious folks alike.
